Mountain Lion vs Windows 8
Yesterday Apple released Mountain Lion, aka OS X 10.8, dropping the ‘Mac’ prefix from the name. The reason is clear: the new OS wants to be a bridge and an hub between the different devices Apple produced, with a better integration of iOS applications too. New security fixes but the same GUI, crappy.
This strategy seems to be like a defence from the brand new Windows 8 from Microsoft, which allows users to integrate Windows Phone 7 devices with the Desktop OS, sharing the same apps (between the phone OS and the desktop OS, changes only 10% of code in the apps - amazing).
Mountain Lion will be released on August 2012 while Windows 8 at the end of 2012: who will win?
